We are taking Grandchildren on the Valor in July. Does anyone know if they have a talent show for kids or is it just for adults? Can the children participate in the adult show? Do you have to try out, etc. Any info would be nice. Thanks.
There is a separate talent show for kids enrolled in camp carnilal. The kids talent show is usually toward the end of the cruise. It takes place in one of the lounges during the afternoon with all parents, grandparents, ect , invited to watch.
The kids have to register and perform their peice so the show can be timed out. All kids are allowed to perform no matter how bad they are. Bring your own music if you like. Many kids lip-sinc. A few are actually pretty talented.
The adult show, used as an evenings entertainment bill in the main show lounge, has a tryout, and only the better ones get to perform. Many adult performers are profesional performer in real life.
Every "contestant" is a winner just for being brave enough to perform in front of everyone. They each received a bottle of champagne and the coveted "solid gold "plastic" ship" on a stick! The talent show is purely for entertainment and not a contest. One of the highlights of each cruise.

All this info is spot on! Thanks for the great and truthful info guys. I might add that we love to go to the talent show. Some of the performers have really blown us away they are so good and yes you do get the one or two who will make you squirm in your seat but you applaud anyway because they had the guts to get up and do their best anyway. What is not allowed are comedic monologs simply because you get those that think they are being funny when they are just being crude.
