I have been on 8 cruises and number 9 is in 11 days (Valor), but I am getting differing opinions on this. I know I need my birth certificate , but should I also bring my marriage certificate with me? I don't think I did last cruise -but I have been hearing heightened security etc and wonder if I should..I would rather not carry any more important papers than I actually need. There is 2 feet of snow on the ground and another 2-4 predicted for tonight. I am down to counting the minutes and sweating the details. Thanks in advance
P.S. We are celebrating our 20th anniversary on the ship
I have taken 4 crusies. RCCL did look at my marriage license. 3 CCL crusies and I haven't been asked the first time. Only for my picture ID. I stopped carrying it after the second one. Our last cruise was Aug. 04.
Or, maybe I have just been lucky and not been asked? Lets see what others say..

I haven't been asked for mine either and last one was May 2004. I am not taking mine on Saturday when we leave out and didn't even think of it really. I have only heard you need it and it IS asked for (they did ask my inlaws last cruise as they just got married) if your name is different than your husbands. My in laws had just gotten married and she did not change her name so she brought her marriage license. Also if you have not had time after a recent marriage to get a new driver's license with the married name. But since this is your 20th anniversary I don't think it is necessary. Congrats on the anniversary - I sure hope my hubby and I are celebrating like you on our 20th - that we make our 20th - that is awesome expecially these days - have a wonderful time!!!!!! Debbie
