Default excursion tipping

Does everyone tip on excursions? If so...about how much?

Cheryl

I usually do and it depends on the level of service we got. We did the Sting Ray tour in Grand Cayman with Soto's Cruises. There were 5 of us and we had a great time. The guides were wonderful and informative and really made the trip. There were two of them and we tipped them $10 each. On an excursion in Key West for a city tour one time it was horrible. The guides didn't hardly say a word about anything, just pointed things out, mumbled when asked a question, and I thought it was a total waste of money. I could have walked around on my own and got as much out of it as I did that "guided" tour. Needless to say there was no tip. Hope this helps.

Darcy

it all depends, i think that most folks do, especially if you get a great guide and tour, but if you get a lousy guide who doesn't do much of anything then i don't think i would tip.

I always thought that everything was included in the tour price -- little do I know. What about the cab drivers, etc?
