Default Galveston Traffic April. 15-17

Please be advised: If you have a cruise scheduled April 51, 16, 17 leaving from Galveston, you will be best served arriving a day or two early. That weekend is "Beach Party Weekend" in Galveston and every college/high school kid will be driving to Galveston to party. You can expect traffic jams from 10-20 miles heading into Galveston. If you plan on arriving the day of your cruise, you will probably not make your sailing unless you get to Galveston before 9:00am. Anything later and you will be stuck in traffic. This is for real, the locals close shop and leave for the weekend.

Thanks for the info! We won't be leaving out on that weekend, we are returning on the 17th from the Elation. This means that I probably will use one of the parking areas near the cruise terminals. Thanks again!
