Default Atlantis Resort

I'm planning on spending a day at the Atlantis Resort in Nassau. The excursion seems pricing for only 2 hours at the resort. Has anyone toured Atlantis on their own? I just want to see the sand dig, aquarium, casino and have lunch. Thank you for any advice!

We went on our own last summer and were able to tour the casino and aquarium. It was much later in the afternoon when we got there and the dig was closed. There were several employees standing "guard" to ask if we were hotel guests. When we stated we wanted to pay to tour the dig, they informed us it was closed. I don't know if we were supposed to but, we also walked around the outside of the property--just outside the casino and aquarium areas. There are outside ponds, etc., that are actually the top of the underground aquarium. It was beautiful. I would suggest going earlier in the day, however.

I don't see why you couldn't do it on your own. Just take the water taxi over there and walk around the corner. You can not miss the Casino. It looks like a castle. Just make sure your watch is set on the same time as the ship, and get back before the ship sails. It will leave you.

Have fun cruising!

A lot of the stuff at Atlantis unless you are staying there you can't even pay to get in and see.

you take a taxi either water or land, you walk into the casino, there is a booth where you pay your admission to the aquarium/dig and you go in. That's all there is to it. You can walk around the casino- there is a great little sports bar with really good sandwiches in the casino, the bistro is very pricy.

so you can not use anything at the resort unless you are a resort guest? we are going on the valor 5/22 and we thought we would take a taxi over and check out the casino, shops, eat etc... but now I am rethinking that.

does anyone know what the tour from the cruiseline offers?

It's not worth making a day out of it, have your dinner that night on the ship, then pay a taxi to drive you over and walk around..... you can get into the Casino and walk around some of the inside...... there is club in the Casino that is free for guests and $150 for Non guests.

Have fun!
