Default 1st timer questions

We're sailing on the Ecstacy in a couple of weeks to Mexico and I had a few questions that weren't completely answered on Carnival's website and they did not respond when I e-mailed them.

Our 11 yr. old son is going with us and I've got his birth certificate, do I need any other form of ID for him to travel? I've been told that's all he needs, but I'm just concerned.
We're a categaory 6C with 1 upper, can the 2 twin beds be put together to make a King?
Also, we've booked a shore excursion on the Fat Cat Catamaran that is not through the Cruise lines. Does anybody have any experience with the Fat Cat?

You do not need any other identification for your son. 16 and over requires a photo ID along with a birth certificate.

Yes, the twins can be pushed together to make a king and often this will already be done by the time you get to your stateroom. If not, just ask your steward.

That should be all the ID you need for your son as long as both parents are traveling with him. If you parent is absent I believe you'll need the missing parents notorized permission the let the child enter mexico.

I took my kids with just me and my mom....and only needed birth certificates.
(oldest one is 11)
