Default snorkel rental

I read on Carnival's website that you can rent snorkel equipment on the boat. Has anyone done this? How much is it?

I did this on the Trimuph and if I remember correctly it was $25 for the 7 day cruise.

GROSS Just go buy your own cheap at the Sports Stores or even a Target/Walmart type place! Then you will have it forever! =)

i would much rather rent from the ship than from a local vendor. With the ships rentals you atleast know that they are clean. Its $25.00 for a 5 day rental i believe.
FYI - salt water kills germs

I wouldn't trust salt water to kill all the germs. Ugh.

I have my own snorkel and mask - but I did see in the Capers on my last cruise that you could buy new snorkels for $5.

If you're worried about germs, buy the $5 snorkel. The mask/fins are fine to rent. If you buy your own, don't assume the cheap sets will fit you (or the more expensive, for that matter). Be sure to try them out before your cruise. My family of 4 ended up with 4 different brands/styles of masks. Everyone's face is different and a well fitting mask is a must. We sailed with a friend who had an ill fitting mask, and, as a result, didn't get to enjoy her snorkeling time.
