Default Insurance????

What is the best insurance to get and what are some of the cost? The ones I have looked at online have different plans and I don't know which one. Any ideas??? We will be on the Carnival Glory in May and I have been told it is cheaper to get insurance elsewhere instead through Carnival. You can email me websites at gmhvols@comcast.net
Thanks so much.

Recommend checking out insuremytrip.com. We've been using Travelex insurance of late.

Just go to Insuremytrip.com and get quotes. We have always used CSA Silver plan and it paid off last year during Hurricane Frances. This time we bought the CSA WebDirect plan. We wouldn't leave home without it.

It all depends on many factors such as how many people, ages, length and cost of trip. For us last year on the Mariner, airfare from Calif, rental car, 2 days hotel pre-cruise and 1 day hotel post cruise, it was about $128. We were delayed because of Hurricane Frances, we missed our flight , diverted to Miami and had to spend the night there before flying out the next morning. We were reimbursed $190 for hotel and food expense.

Do these type of insurance cover reimbursement if you have to cancel the cruise for sickness, death in family etc? Thank you.

I've also been using CSA the last few cruises and have made claims, both last year and again this year, I can't endorce getting insurance enough. I just sent the claim in this week for the cruise that we had to leave early on, but I'm sure I'll get a check shortly.

CSA Travel Insurance

It is a good idea to get an independant insurance instead of one offered by the cruiseline. Travel Gaurd, and Travel Safe, AAA are good ones along with many others. Ask your travel agent for advice.
