I know it's a scary feeling. I have heard of people getting their docs the week of and even the day before sailing, so I don't think it is that uncommon. Luckily, we have always had ours at about 30 days out.

I booked on Feb 14 for the March 3rd cruise on the Sensation. When I spoke to a Carnival rep last night on another issue, she told me my docs was sent out on the 16. I am assuming I will get them on Tuesday since mail isn't passing here today, so that is less than 2 weeks before my cruise. If I recall correctly most of the time I have gotten them about a week or 2 before I cruise. Then again I haven't ever booked more than 35 days before sailing. I have no patience.

I hope I get my docs at least 3 weeks before our cruise.
I used my mom's credit card (with her consent, of course), and the docs will be mailed to her address...in PUERTO RICO. As soon as she receives them she's gonna mail them back to the U.S. and if it's the week of the trip, she would have to Fedex them overnight.
I have not received mine yet for the 3/20 Valor sailing. However in the past I remember getting them at about two weeks out. My friends on the same cruise have received theirs, but the booked a specific cabin , and I booked a GTE. I am thinking that this might have something to do with it.
Why don't you call Carnival and tell them to send the docs directly to YOU? They'll do that, you know, as long as you have your booking number. I'd sure hate to trust the mail from PR to the US on getting something as important and expensive as cruise docs!
Oh, OK. Well, I booked and paid for a cruise using my credit card but in the name of my son and his friend, and had the documents sent directly to him. He lives in another state. It was all taken care of...no problem. Good luck!
