Single parent
Hello everyone. Any suggestion or tips for a single Dad traveling with two teenage sons (ages 16 and 14)? I want them to have a great time, but I would also like to find time for myself, too. Do the ship's staff help guys like me to meet others? Or am I pretty much on my own?

We are on the Carnival Victory, June 26 - July 3, 2005.

Re: Single parent
enroll your boys into the teen center for activities, read your Carnival Capers every day they will tell you all the goings on during the day, there might be a singles get-together during your cruise.

My friends brought their 2 teenage kids and we hardly ever saw them except in port! The kids were so busy enjoying the ship we had to go look for them when we needed them! Every once in a while we ran into them but they were busy with their new friends. Don't worry, you'll find that there is plenty to do and you will all have your favorite hang out spots. If you're lucky, they will make time for you! Get a pair of walkie talkies, they worked great for finding kids!

Every ship I have been on, four so far, they have always had a singles event. Look for it in your Capers when you board the ship. Then, let your imagination run wild!

Have a great trip!
