I have strange ? I hope you all can help me with.Usally when we travel my wife has to take her pillow from home . She is used to a down (feather) pillow . Do they have these if you request one ? Could she bring hers . Would it look silly carring a pillow on board? First cruise . Leave tommorow on sensation . SO EXCITED !!!! thanks for your help . I have learned so much about cruising from this site I feel as if I am a veteran cruiser. Again THANK YOU ALL for all of the excellent advice and tips.
There will be extra pillows in your closet, but no 'down' pillows. I've seen folks bringing their own pillows on board. Tell your DW to go for it if she needs her own. Nobody will look at her strangely. (I was on the Sensation in Nov.)....good cruise.
Thank you Cotton . you have been very helpful . I have read alot of your post here about cruisng and also about NO . WE are staying in your fine city for 2 days after cruise. Got to go rest up for this last day so I'll be ready for a whole week of partying .
I've been on several cruises over the past years...I ALWAYS bring my own. Don't worry if people were to look at you funny, it's your vacation bring whatever will make your trip more enjoyable for you!!
Just get a small duffle/athletic bag to jam the pillow in so she won't have to carry it on. It can go with your checked luggage.
On the Valor we had plenty of nice pillows. I kind of thought we did have one feather one and I put it to the side/gave it to my husband; I always feel the pillows because I am allergic to feathers.
Have a great cruise!!!!

VALOR Jan/05-our first family cruise was great!
Just got off the Inspiration and I brought my own pillow. Now that I think about it, I don't think I saw anyone else bring one own. I bring my pillow whenever I am away from home. However, the pillows in our room were excellent. Fluffy and firm. Had I known the pillows were that great I might not have brought mine.
I have been bringing my pillow wherever I travel for 20 years, including on a cruise. I have also seen people carrying on foam mattress pads because the beds are hard as rocks.
Thank all of you all for your replies. I am so glad I found this board ITS AWESOME!! Will be leaving in a few hours for NO . This time tommorow we'll be an the boat armed with much knowledge learned right here . Looking forward to what will be our best vacation ever ! Report back when we get home . SEE YA
Whitedog, My wife has a special pillow she carries with her whenever we go a long distance or overnight and that includes a cruise. Heck, she even has her own special blanky she carries <> Doesn't bother me at all as I get to use a couple pillows for sleeping.
