Default Gilligan's Glory

(sing to the tune of Gilligan's island theme - )

Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale a tale of a fateful trip that started at this Florida port aboard that Glory ship (aboard that Glory ship)

Her first mate and her skipper too, they changed the ports of call, and pissed off all their passengers by going to Nassau (by going to Nassau)

Her engine wasn't working well, her powered flickered off.
Her passengers weren't satisfied with a hundred dollars off. (a hundred dollars off)

Just read some more on the Cruisemates board, you'll hear the whole dang tale. They're talkin bout class action suits and callin' Carnival. (They're callin' Carnival).

I completely agree, I have way to much free time. Perhaps I should go on a cruise. April is good for me. I'll start packing!!!!

We had a great laugh! Thanks Kris.

FYI everyone, CCL did not respond to my emails (no surprise). Wrote to my credit card company and documented what I could. Maybe they'll get their attention.

As I said before, it's really unfortunate how CCL handled the situation. I thought the ship, food, and crew were good. We were also very lucky that the weather was OK for this time of the year. I am just real disappointed that CCL didn't step up and offer us a future discounted cruise to try again to actually make it to those eastern caribbean ports I wanted to visit so much. It will be another couple of years before I can afford to take my family on another cruise. What CCL doesn't understand is that many of us can't afford to cruise often, so when we don't get what we pay for, it's a big disappointment. Bad weather or hurricane I can understand and wouldn't expect them to do much, but mechanical problems with a 2-year-old ship? I expected better from them. We paid way to much for a Florida/Bahama crawl.

I agree. What we were on was equivalent to a 3 or 4 day Bahamas cruise. They should charge us what they would have charged for that and reimburse us for the rest. I too could understand a weather problem because no one can control that, but mechanical problems should be reimbursed. It is not the passengers problem that they have mechanical issues. If you had hired a limo from me to go to dinner and a broadway show and my limo broke down, I would not continue on in the unsafe limo and take you to McDonalds and a movie theatre, I would reimburse you or call another limo to pick you up and take you to the proper places...
