Hi Janet Rae:

We are heading to Nassau next month. We originally thought about doing the Blue Lagoon tour (under $30 for the boat ride over/back) but the more we have searched, it is now looking like we might head to Paradise Island.

We have requested (and received) information for the Bahama Government, and have been doing on-line research.

When we return we will post our review. Until then, feel free to write and I will pass along anything we have learned to date.

Good luck and enjoy the planning.

Dont worry ....the taxis will follow you like dogs after a trash truck. Be picky and negotiate your price not theirs

We were in Nassau in Feb. and took a ferry boat ride to Paradise Island. It costs $3.00 per person and runs every half hour until 6pm. It was quite a nice little ride. You'll have a bit of a walk to the Atlantis but we just walked around to some of the stores then went back. There is a small straw market within walking distance and several souvenier shops. We did the Blue Lagoon last year and did the swim with the dolphins (quite expensive but worth it). I don't think there's anything else there except beach. Hope this helps a little.
