When we sailed on Disney we were able to put our suitcases under the bed to give us more room in our cabin. Does anyone know if this can be done on the Carnival Inspiration? We'll be leaving June 25th and trying to figure out how to pack! If they don't go under the bed, do you have enough room in the closet or what other tricks do you have to help save room in your cabins? Thanks in advance for any help!
We were on the Inspiration and all our luggage fit under the bed but we did put smaller ones inside larger ones and then stuffed them under the bed. But if they don't, like someone said in a prior reply, the room steward will hold them unitl the night before embarkation. We have done this too!
We also put ours either under the bed or in the closet as they fit but we also know that you can have the steward store your luggage for you. They do this by placing it in the luggage holding area. As this is also the crews area and in some cases you will pass through this area getting off the ships in some ports they obviously cannot store everyones luggage so do not advertise this option. You should also only use it if you really do not have the room in your cabin just out of courtsey.
Being campers, we are used to using duffel bags of various sizes. You can get some HUGE duffel bags that when empty can be stuffed into each other and then a small space. Try looking in a camping supply store (REI or Dick's) for these huge bags. There is also a company called Campmor that sells every size imaginable.
But, that all being said, yes, your bags will fit under your bed.
