Default St Maarten

My husband and I are planning on spending the day in St Maarten without doing an excursion. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Orient Beach is excellent. Take a taxi, not very expensive. There's allways taxies there to come back.

Been there twice and would go back in a heart beat.

Another vote for Orient beach (long attractive, lots of restaurants, some shopping, lots of activities) and then if you are a shopper - some shopping in Philipsburg.

Take a shopping or window shopping trip over to the French side and then do the same on the Dutch side before returning to the ship. Dump your stuff and head on over to the beach, choice is yours. The ones on the Dutch side are mostly fully attired where Orient on the French side is tops optional and the far end is clothing optional.

Another vote for Orient Beach. Some great little bars/shops on the beach and a lovely ride over the mountains to get there!
