This message is for anyone who works at Cruisemates or anyone who might know the answer to my particular problem. I cruised back in 1987 on Carnival, seems they didn't keep track of people then and though I called several times, and sent several e mails I was told I would not get any past guest perks, cause there is no record. I however have proof of my cruise including the photos taken by the ships photographer which shows me boarding the Mardi Gras and the date posted above our head. Now if I bring this along on my cruise and show it to some one in the Pursers office do you think they might give me any perks , such as a cocktail party or a cabin upgrade?
You will probably get the cocktail party by just marking that you have previously sailed on Carnival on your in-cabin questionnaire. I think it would be a waste of your time and the Pursers to try and get a cabin upgrade because one cruise does not get anyone a cabin upgrade.
Take care and enjoy the cruise,

Yeah I agree with above. Sorry there really isn't anything they will do about it. I am missing a cruise too on my past guest cruises with Carnival and it's a dead end street with them fighting for someone to find it. Bottom line they just didn't keep track of them even as late as the 90's there are some missing.
i've been on six carnival cruises and the only past guest perk i've experienced is the repeat cruiser party. you will be eligible by checking the box. so, you will enjoy the perks
just as much as me. have fun. carnival does not really do much for past guests. the hour long party is nice though.
Well Im gonna show my photo just in case, can't hurt. Im not expecting much I just want to point out that there are other ways to track past guests and this should count as proof. And heck a party would be cool, how many people can you invite and were the drinks free?
You can't invite anyone. The party is for past guest cruisers only. My son and I went, but dh couldn't go because he hadn't cruised before.
A past guest status sometimes helps when you are actually booking another cruise. We got a pretty good deal on the "past guest reunion" cruise this Sept. You can also sometimes get a free upgrade as a past guest when booking.

Re: Past guest problem.
Carnival is the worst among the major cruise lines with past guess perks...one reason I don't cruise with them again and again. As for Princess.....after 5 cruises with them - you get - aong other things - priority embarkation, a special lounge for debarkation with food, etc....FREE INTERNET......., past passenger parties, awards for being the most traveled..........Captain's circle parties, and the more cruises, the more you get!
Carnival is woefully behind other brands in this............
Carnival Breeze with Ray B and Aerogirl 5/4/14!
I have a 1989 cruise aboard the Celebrity that has "dropped off" Carnivals past guest history. Also, I have cruised on Carnaval Fantasy in '96 and '04 (which they do have records of) but have never been invited to the past guest party. How do they notify you of this event? Is it just listed inthe Capers and you can attend if you are a past guest, or is it by invitation only?
How many sailing do you have to have taken to MAYBE be looked at for an upgrade? We don't book a guarantee category, always pick our own cabin.....an OV, but would like to be surprised with an upgrapde sometime.......will it ever happen without a guarantee booking only?
When I was aboard Inspiration, the past guest party was the night of the first sea day. They slip a lapel pin of the ship you're on under your door with the invitation--at least, that's how it worked on my last Carnival ship.
I may dwell on the land, but I live at sea!
Sensation 2/03 I disembarked, but never really left the ship.
Enchantment 9/03 Just had to go back.
Inspiration 3/04 Just have to go back again, and again, and again...
Sensation 04/05 The vessel made me do it!
Summit 03/06 It's Margaret's fault!
You will receive a written invitation to the past guests party under your door on stuck in your mailbox. When you fill out your papers when checking in there is a box that asks if you have cruised before, if you have cruised with CCL, and how many times. Just fill in and check the approprate boxes. The lapel pins are pretty new and we have only recieved one for past guest and one for an Inaugral cruise. We have always bought one of those little silver bells or a shot glass with the ships name ojn it to keep track of how many and what ships we have done.
