Location of Cabin

My question is in general is it better to have your cabin location towards the center of the ship or the rear. I have read that you don't want it towards the front of the cabin, because of more motion, but what about the rear of the ship? Is it noisy at the rear?

For the least motion, pick a mid-ship cabin on a lower deck. That being said, we had cabins on the Upper Deck, towards the back (but not at the back), and we didn't feel any motion. My son felt the most motion in the lounge and gift shop at the very front of the ship (he is prone to sea sickness, however).

I have had cabins in the middle and the rear. The Aft is great. The last cruise we took the next to the last cabin on deck 6 port side aft the room is odd shaped but you get a balcony that is twice the size. We did not feel any of the motion except on the Mississippi.
Have a great cruise

I think its a matter of personal choice. The middle, lower decks are preferred by some that have serious issues with seasickness. The back on some ships have the wrap-around balconies and those are considered great cabins by many as well.
