My Dad is cruising on April10th on the Conquest. It is his first. He wanted to know if he puts his $200 down on his sail & sign card, does that cover for the gratuity, as well; or does he have to have $270.00--$200 for his card and $70 for gratuities. I have told him he could have the gratuity removed depending on his services. Any advice for him would be appreciated.
Hi there, the money that he deposits into his account will go towards whatever is charged to his account. It works just like a checking account with a check card. He can check his balance through the TV system aboard the ship by using his folio number on his sail and sign card. In other words his account once he boards will probably show a negative amount for gratuities, then his deposit which will be added. He won't have to deposit an extra $70.00 to cover gratuities, it will come from the amount deposited! Ricky
