Nope they confiscate them along with the nail clippers, bic lighters and corkscrews. Really just kidding. I don't know why your La Crosse stick would be treated any differently than golf clubs?
It would be treated as any other large sports equipment but I am not sure where you would be able to play. There certainly is no place onboard and I do not know of any port that has that activity.
