The waterproof holders are in the Sporting Goods department.

As for sunblock, I don't like the sun so I use Water Babies 45 SPF. I find it works very well but like all sunblocks you need to keep put it on a few times during the day.

I used Ocean Potion #50. We went snorkeling and I didn't burn.

I use the No Ad #30 and #45 and have found both work great. As a previous poster mentioned you do need to reapply several times during the day if you're going to be in the sun/water.

I love the NO AD products, look for the waterproof/sports formula's. I always bring two strengths of sunblock, - factor 30 for the first couple of days and for snorkeling, and once i get a pretty good base i will switch to a factor 15.

I am a person who burns very easily then turns back white (with freckles) and I have found that bull frog works best for me. I used only the spf 35 one time before going to an amusement park and the only spot that burned was my knee where I didn't put any sunblock. no-ad hasn't worked for me, but coppertone has. Maybe you should try them before the cruise.

Like HaleyC, I burn then turn white again and I also have found Bullfrog to be the best for me.

bulfrog is good, used it a couple of years ago, i try to get a base sunning in the yard, after that i use spf #15. found some lotion on the patio, barely legal, looked good, smelled good, so i used it, went into the sun for about 45 min, boy did i get burned. i asked my daughter what kink of lotion it was, it is used for the tanning salon, let me tell you i have a pretty good base tan. walmart has a good selection of lotions, usually they are located in the pharmacy section, if you don't want to get burned use spf #100, that will block out the sun

I have not been able to find the small holders only ones that resemble fruit juice boxes.

Susan,
If you can't find them at Walmart or Target, try a dive shop or Sport Authority for the holders. Bull Frog or Coppertone SPF 35 works really well. My son burns easy. My husband is italian and has a perpetual tan all year round (hate him for that!) and I am light but lay in the sun the 4 weeks before cruising on the weekends to get a tan going so I don't burn and use SPF 8 for myself (I live in Florida so luckily the sun is always out!) I have tried No-AD and didn't like it..comes out like water and is not thick enough, and after reading a review about the best brands of sun lotion last year, this brand was at the bottom of the list. Happy Cruising!! 22 more days for us on the Valor May 1....the waiting is excruciating!!!

HIGHER THE BETTER on the cruises and ports! THE sun is soooo different, I would say from Key West on to all the islands the sun is different than in Miami or even here in Orlando!

the key to a good sun block is to look for the words Broad Spectrum UVA/UVB protection. This and only this type of lotion will protect you from the harmful burning rays.

I always pick up the Sport 45, with the extra little bottle attached. I got it at either Target or Walmart and it is waterproof.
