From what I can tell the e-mail states past guests preview on Wednesday, April 13th. If you send me an e-mail I will send you back the information I got from Carnival.

I actually received two e-mails and both said on most sailings from now until March 2006. see below which I copied and pasted from my e-mail

"Offer good on virtually all cruises through March 2006. Ask about Europe cruises. "

Hi Everyone:

We booked on the Carnival Christmas in July sale. We are heading out on Celebration next Monday.

We had been a past guest and our TA had all our info. We booked and got a great deal for the four of us. Was such a great deal, we couldn't pass it up.

Lookout Key West and Nassau, here we come.

Enjoy and happy sailing.

I have been watching prices online for the past month. On the cruise I just booked, the price was the same today as it was over a month ago. The "sale" incentive was a two catagory upgrade. I usually go through a travel agent though and the price she gave me was a little higher than what I got online. Usually, its been the other way around. We were planning on booking this week anyway, so we lucked out with the One Day Sale.

I booked a cruise on the glory for 8-20. I had to cancel on saturday and rebook to save 100 dollars but lost my up grade. Now I have to cancel and rebook on thursday during the sale to get another 2 cat upgrade. So I won. As long as your 75 or more days out if you find a better deal cancel and rebook. I watch the carnival website daily for prices as the change frequently. With norwegian I watch the prices daily but I have never seen them go down. With them it is better to book far in advance.

We are booked on the Glory this summer. I was thinking about cancelling and rebooking to get the upgrade but the I read the fine print on the bottom of the one day sale page and it says offer not good for passengers who cancel and rebook the same cruise. It also says that on the Glory you can only get a 1 category upgrade as well as some of the other ships.

Cheryl

I booked a few weeks ago directly through Carnival as I always do. I got the "sale" notice a few days ago so I decided to call my CCL vacation planner yesterday and she was able to save me an additional $100.00, which she will credit my bill today (Wednesday). Its not much, but its something. Just to let you know the person I book with always encourages me to call every few weeks to see if she can get me any more dicounts. I've booked 4 cruises through her and always gotten extra money off or some great last minute upgrades.

Go Sox!

We booked in November because I received one of those Carnival emails stating a "Past Guest" promotion. I called Carnival direct and got the price then I called a travel agency here in Canada to see what price they were going to offer me. It ended up being exactly the same. My travel agent here (Canada) also said this was a great promotion (free upgrades etc.). We booked our cruise and are heading out on April 23! I am constantly checking "sell off prices" and we still have not found one that beats what we paid. Can't wait to set sail!

Not yet. My DH decided he would rather have 2 crowns put on his teeth (root canals failed) instead of pulling the teeth and going on a cruise. We're still trying to work it out.

Cheryl C,

Too bad but I like having all my teeth so it's probably a good call. You'll have to spend your money at the ball park! One of these days I want to make it Boston and see the Red Sox.

In my neck of the woods we say......GO BLUE JAYS!!!!

How do you get the upgrades and discounts on these sales. It says in the fine print for the sales that they are for new bookings only and that you may not cancel and rebook, ( I really couldn't firgure out why they would not let you re-book). I checked with my TA and he said the same thing.

I am not sure why they let me cancel and rebook. May be I have a good travel agent or because I am a past guest and cruise every year. They know they can count on my money.

I just got a call from my TA today. She cancelled our cruise and rebooked. ( she did this last week also and I saved 100 dollars). She said that we got our 2 cat upgrade and that the price also dropped another 99 dollars and some odd cents. So that is almost a 200 dollar savings for us. I can almost book a mini cruise
