Default can someone answer a booking question for me?

We have booked and paid for our rooms on a cruise June 12th (Elation). My dad has one room where he is the solo person. Can you add a person - and of course, adjust the price if necessary - this late in the game without loosing the room you have? Or do you have to cancel and rebook? Thanks........I have a email to my TA, but he hasn't returned my answer. Does anyone know? Thanks CR

As long as there is room on the ship and in the room you can add another person to your room. We did it for our August cruise without any problem. You do have to pay the rate thats being charged at the time you book the new person, not the rate you got when you originally booked.

There is definitely room since it is a balcony room -- I am hoping the TA will call tomorrow and I can get the final scoop. Thanks

Cheryl,

If the ship is full you may not be able to add a person even if there is room in the cabin. We tried this once with our balcony cabin and they told me that it is not how many beds in the cabin but they book by seats on the life boats. That is how they determine the ship capacity. So since I had a 4-5 person cabin I could not add my daughter as the lift boat seats where full.
