Where to Stay in Port Canaveral

Sailing on the Glory 7/30 - where is the best / most reasonable place to stay for (1) night before and (1) night following the cruise. thanks for your help

Goalimom - Best and reasonable are definitely 2 different things. We sailed on the Glory last August and spent the night before at the Days Inn in Cocoa Beach. Definitely one of the less expensive motel/hotels on the strip. The Days Inn was safe and "relatively" clean, but a little on the run down side. Since we were only there the one night, it wasn't that bad, but its not a Hilton.

Thanks for the input, as we arriving early evening the day before the cruise I would prefer not to spend a fortune on the hotel - more to spend on the cruise -

We stay at the Radisson, very convenient to the port and they have free shuttles.

we stayed at the orlando airport hotel. very nice and only a 25 min ride to port. I would do the same next time

LaQuinta Cocoa Beach. Very nice and clean hotel. Free continental breakfast.

jlock, I don't know you method of transportation but even in good traffic it is at least a 45 minute ride to the port. It is 50 miles to Cocoa Beach down the B-Line.

goalimom, I grew up on Merritt Island and visit often, also cruised from Port Canaveral twice. We stayed at the Radisson, very nice but get crowded on cruise day even with scheduled shuttle times. I have also stayed at the Comfort Inn but the last time we stayed at the Hampton Inn down A1A. Very nice, quiet, pool area with walkway to beach. They even gave us a free appetizer coupon to local restaurants. We will stay there from now on.
