I have book the bottom deck on the Triumph - the Riviera deck. Has anyone experienced this? I am not one who normally cares where my deck is, but I'm curious if anyone has feedback.
yes i have we like being on the riviera deck frist its nice and quiet the other reason
are i!m will be traveling with my mom its easier for her to do safe drill when we have to
walk only two flight of stairs and other is you can be closer geting off frist when you go on shore and when you get back from shore you need only to walk up one flight stairs to
get to your room you don! need to wait for elevator here are long lines after the shore trips
I've stayed on the riviera deck on triumph. i liked it. we were the last room on the back of the ship, and didn't experience any motion. however, at times we could hear the ship moving (kind of like a constant motor noise). but we liked it...it made it easier for us to sleep. it was sort of just a constant humm. nothing to keep you awake. hope you enjoy your cruise!
I've cruised three times on Carnival, and twice I've stayed on the Riviera Deck. In my opinion, I truly believe that the Riviera Deck is the best deck to be on. It's very, very quiet, not to mention that you hardly feel any movement (especially if you're in midship).
On my last cruise on the Imagination, I booked a gty ocean view cabin, and ended up on the Upper Deck aft. Never again. The only time I'll book a cabin not on the Riviera Deck is when I book a cabin with a balcony; other than that I will always book on the Riviera Deck. All the cabins look alike no matter what deck you're on, unless you book a suite.
the lower the deck the smoother the ride. And Denise regarding the boat drill we always go ahead of time so we can take an elevator, if this helps with your mom.

We stayed in two adjoining rooms on the Riveria deck on the Triumph last year and we loved it. Totally quiet and great for sleeping. Also, apparently the ship hit some turbulence and some people were complaining. We never felt it on our deck. We are doing the Riviera deck on the Valor this year. Works for us. All these people that book higher decks don't know what they are missing.
I love the Rivera deck. Got an outside cabin on the Legend. It's close to the showrooms, casino, etc, it was quiet, the elevators are fast and your up to lido in no time. I slept well and there wasn't much motion and we were near the front of the ship. Nice and quiet also had self serve laundry on our deck. I will book it again, got a great price too.
