I have sailed the Legend up to Canada before and I will be sailing on her again on 9/10/05. Once you get over the initial shock of the main lobby with all the urns (I promise they will grow on you!), look for the "real" elevators -- not the glass elevators. The Legend, although large, is easy to get around. All the smaller entertainment rooms are located on the same deck, even the disco. So it is easy to learn the layout in a short time. If you are a non smoker, beware of the one lounge where smoking is allowed. It is an open space, so just run pass very quickly since the smoke does tend to migrate in the area.
The main lobby area always has some type of music being played.
The cabins are very large -- something you will not find on other cruise lines.
The buffet area is very extensive. Take the time to explore before making your selection. There is an indoor pool and a stage as well on the same floor.
I sailed Legend to San Juan , St Thomas and Tortola ,8 days out of NY. We found it to be a very nice cruise. We found a lovely spot on the stern area of the Lido deck. It was near the food, drink, icecream machines and away from the noise of the center pool.
Also near the slide which was fun. Rooms were nice, food was good as was service. Entertainment was good as well. We did find ourselves "shut out" of a number of lounges where some heavy duty smoking went on, including one just outside the dining room. We went up and over it to get to our table as we did not want to stand waiting . Plenty of entertainment choices and a nice casino. I would do the trip again in a heartbeat.
