Default Military Discount

We are booked on a back-to-back in November on the Triumph (thru Expedia) and for one week in Feb 06 on the Legend (directly thru Carnival) and when I asked for a military discount I was told both by Expedia and Carnival's reps that no such discount is offered? What's the deal? How does one go about getting this discount?
Thanks

Yes, a military discount does exist on Carnival, and it is quite favorable so if the next rep you speak to doesn't know about it, ask to speak to a supervisor.

Go onto Google and enter in this search without surrounding quote marks

Get a different Carnival agent, it is a NEW program....Shay Hart ext. 82570 is my agent & she brought it up to me.... Great gal..... Bob

Bob,
I just left a message for Shay so maybe she can help explain the military discounts or even the AARP discount? I was told that wasn't offered either but I know some people have gotten AARP as well. Hubby is a new member of AARP. I did see on the web site that browezilla sent me to that it is only offered on select cruises? The ones listed don't go out beyond June of this year and I always book farther ahead when I can. Either discount is fine with me, I would just like to take advantage of some type of discount. We are repeat cruisers and are planning to book Alaska in the fall of 06 for our 30th wedding anniversary so even if I can't go back and get a discount on the cruises we have booked maybe I can get it for the Alaska trip. We havn't booked that one yet. Thanks so much for the tip to switch agents, I guess they aren't all the same! Wish me luck!

Keep us posted on what you get...... You do have to have at least 2 years active duty & fax in a copy of you DD-214 & driver's license to qualify..... Shay booked us on the Conquest on the super saver rateof $1229.84 ($500 deposit) & then after we were qualified (4 or 5 days later) we got $829.84 for two & that included Gov. taxes ($400 savings).... They never asked my brother how long he was active duty for but that he was active. All he had to do was get his information to them, how I don't know he did it from Iraq. I do know that he was on the ship with me though.
