If you're talking about Paradise Beach in Cozumel, yes, we just returned from the eastern Caribbean on the Valor and took a taxi to Paradise Beach. The beach area was very nice....they had lots of lounge chairs set up, some with umbrellas...admission was free but they charged $5 per person if you wanted to use a kayak, trampoline, iceberg float, or floating mat. They have a large bar with food available and restrooms. But, the water was filthy....dark brown and tons of debris floating in the water and it smelled very bad...the shoreline was very rocky and people were falling flat on their faces trying to get into the water or crawling in on their hands and knees, I saw a lot of bruised knees that day. There was no way I was going into the water and it was a hot day....my sister went swimming and came out looking like she had been tarred and feathered with debris. Maybe they had a storm before we came but I wouldn't go there again. We asked our taxi driver when we were leaving where the beaches were that didn't have a rocky entrance and he said, "the other side of the island". We had been to Chankanaab Park last year and the shoreline there was all rocks, big rocks, they had to make stairs out of rocks for people to get into the water then it was instantly over your head. The next time we visit Cozumel, I will do extensive research to find a beach with a sandy entrance.
