I have watched them unload 18 wheeler's, beer trucks, bread trucks, milk trucks and ect. for the Conquest in N.O. before. Its amazing the amount of goods they unload and store before departure.I would hate to pay that grocery bill for sure ! lol

happy cruising;

After sailing on the Valor a couple weeks ago, I think my family made a dent in the total amount consumed in hot dogs and lobster, and my uncle probably contributed to polishing off half the total number of sausages eaten!! HA!

I took the galley tour on the Glory Nov. 03 & it was amazing to see all the storage & work that goes on to feed the passengers. The man leading the tour stated that Carnival orders the food 2 weeks in advance for your cruise based on the states that the passengers are from. He explained eating habbits of folks around the country & they haven't run short in the 5 years he has been ordering the kicthen inventory.

I am surprised at the numbers... I actually thought the numbers would be higher.. here is my math...

48,000 pounds of tenderloin roughly...

20 ships...

2400 the pounds per ship...

2400 Probably is the rough average of passengers per ship (What about crew?)

That would mean only 1 pound.. per passenger for a week...
