Default Glory:fresh or salt water pools?

We just booked the Glory for 1/14/06 with some friends and were hoping that Carnival has fresh water pools.
Thanks....Happy sailing

We're leaving this Sat. on Glory. I would like to know this too. I believe that all pools are salt water though.

The only cruiseline that uses "fresh" water is Princess.

Donna,

You forgot Disney. Their pools are freshwater also!

As Sharon said, they *are* saltwater, but nothing NEAR as salty as the ocean. They have outdoor showers right by the pools so you can showers off when you come out.

Yes, the pools are a combo of fresh water and salt water, but not overly salty. The water is cool and very refreshing, and like Dorothy said, there are showers right near the pool for rinsing off.

Well, they are 'ocean water' so I don't see how you can say they aren't as salty? <VBG> What they do is fill them while offshore so as they get 'clean' ocean water. They also add some chemicals like clorine so as to help prevent disease. As others have said, freashwater are on Princess and Disney only. Truthfully, while I like freshwater, the saltwater pools are cleaner as they change them daily. You have a freshwater shower poolside so no problem rinsing off. Just remember to leave you bathing suit on! <>

That last post aggravated me so I am not going to waste my breath....well why not....after going in the pools and opening my eyes in the water, it doesn't sting as much or taste as salty and feel as sticky as swimming in ocean water because of the way the water is treated is all I meant by that.

Thanks all. I still prefer fresh water but we will deal with it. No a deal breaker.

Sorry CherylR, Didn't mean to get you upset and I was only putting some levity in there.
