Default Elation and Empress Deck

Has anyone ever stayed on the Empress deck on the Elation? My TA is offering us an upgrade (cheaper price with the Sale carnival is having) on the Empress deck mid ship area.

I noticed that Dukes and the restruant is above those cabins and was wondering about the noise from those areas.

Thanks!

We stayed in E107 and daughter in E103 last July on the Elation. We had no noise problem. We loved the cruise. Leaving on the Conquest July 17, 05

We stayed on the Empress deck last year but more toward the back of the ship. No noise and great location verses lots of stairs to get anywhere. We have also stayed about 5 cabins back from the centrum on the Empress level before and I thought the noise would be bad but it was not at all and the location was very convienent. Except when I had to get to my room on formal night wearing a bathing suit and towel from the pool area....

wanman

Book it. We always like to be on the Empress Deck and have been under dining rooms and kitchens and have never had a problem with noise. And you'll just be down the hall from us. E195 unless of course we get super lucky and get upgraded to a suite! Please, Please, Please visit me upgrade fairy.

I told my travel agent to go ahead and move us to the Empress deck. This is pretty cool. This is my second cruise and my second upgrade. Last year I booked a 6A gurantee on the Ecstacy's December sailing and got moved up to a 6C.

Hey Okiemom, looks like we may be neighbors for the week.

Cool...unless we get super lucky and get moved to a suite. Like that would ever happen. Do you know your room number yet?

I am not sure yet. My TA gave us some room numbers (we have 2 rooms booked) but they have not shown up on the reservation yet. I think they are in the E 100-120 area and my sister and brother in law are right next door.

Were you on the Ecstacy last December? I met some people from Oklahoma last year who were on the Empress Deck and seemed to really like it there).

I was laughing with my travel agent yesterday. I told her I had gotten to the point where I did not think about the cruise a lot and then she calls us with the upgrade offer. Oh well, I still can not wait!
