Canopy Tours

I've signed up for the canopy tour at Ocho Rios in August. It looks like lots of fun. Has anyone taken the tour. How strenuous is it?

My hubby and I did this tour last May. It was a lot of fun. And, I am scared to death of heights. But we would do it again. Be sure to wear really light clothes, as it was hot as Hades.

. And, capris or long pants. The harness can really be bothersome.

Thanks Suzi -- we're going in August and I can't wait. One of our group would like to go on this tour, but she's in her mid-40's and is a smoker. She's in fairly good shape, but is worried about the climb. How rough is it? Do you think she can handle it?

I was 48 and did it. The hike up the mountain was the worst part. It was just so hot. But we had water and a rest at the top.I really enjoyed it. My hubby was 50, and he smokes a pack a day. No problem for him. (as far as I knew.)lol

I know this really doesn't help you, but my wife and I did the Canopy Tour in Puerta Vallarta and it was great, but if you freaked out about hights at all, then you may want to rethink. We had a woman in our group who got down after the second platform, then again, I think are are more platforms in PV than Ocho Rios. Have fun....

Thanks for the imput. She's opted out of the canopy tour, but two of us are still planning to "zip". This is something I'm really looking forward to. We cruise in mid-August so wish me luck!
