Default Anyone forget clothing in stateroom?

I just got back from my Eastern Caribbean cruise on the Triumph and had a blast. What a wonderful vacation, weather was perfect in St. Thomas & St. Martin, rained for a couple hours in San Juan but that just made some of the streets look better.

I shouldn't have been drinking while I was packing my suitcases on the last day, I left about 6 pairs of my shorts in the dresser drawer. Has anyone ever left clothing on the ship? I filed a claim with Carnival and it's been 2 weeks and nothing has been found.

It was my mistake, no big deal, they probably are too tight anyway after gaining a few pounds on the cruise. I was just wondering if anyone has had a good experience with their belongings being found and returned.

Thanks,
Jason

Yes Jason,

We have. Many years ago my DH and myself holidayed in Rhodes, Greece. Upon return back to the UK, we both realised that we had left our precious robes on the back of the bathroon door and what was worse, was that mine was a genuine silk kimono which had been bought especilly for me by my then boyfriend now DH from Tokyo.

It was a beautiful kimono in pure red silk with large oriental birds engraved all over it in gold. I was beside myself.

Anyway, we contacted the Hotel direct who got in touch with their Housekeeping and were advised that they had found both the robes and were more than happy to send them back all the way to U.K. free of charge.

3 days later, our robes arrived safe and sound and I still have my red silk kimono to this day as it is a very cherished item.

So some people can be amazingly honest - I truly thought we had seen the last of our robes and to this day, I NEVER hand them on the back of the bathroom doors any more.

Kind regards,
KG

I left an electric razor on the R2 (Renaissance Cruises) when we left the ship in Barcelona. I filed a claim but never heard anything after that. I hope it's being put to good use taking lint balls off of tuxedos. <VBG>

I have heard that many times the results are better than mine. I hope you have your items returned to you.

Take care,
Mike
