Default Nassau Bahamas

First time cruisers going on the Fantasy. Has anyone been on the ship? Suggestions for shore excursions?

We were on the Fantasy in May. We loved it!! We went to Blue Lagoon and had a great time. Just hung around the beach. I've also done the dolphin encounter although not on the last cruise. That was really cool! You'll have a great time!

What transportation did you use to get to Blue Lagoon?

We also did the Blue Lagoon excursions, booked it through the ship on the Fantasy. That island was so pretty! That is a good excursion if you just want to chill out on the beach.

Did you travel with the same people who were going for the swim with the dolphins or is that a differnet boat to take? We want to go with the kids on here excursion, but not buy into the $109 excursion.

I am not sure if the people who were doing the dolphin excursion people were on the same boat as we were. I do remember seeing the section where the dolphins were and while we were there we did see about 2 more boats come and drop people off.

We went on the Fascination in December it was a port change we were supposed to go to Cozumel we took our daughters 13 and 15 on the atlantis tour and they loved every minute of it. Our oldest now says that is where she is having her honey moon I am glad she has a lot of time to start saving up the money for it .

Went on the Fantasy last December. It is a great ship and lots of fun. If you are doing the 4 night with a stop in Freeport, be sure to check out my pictures in the photo gallery--Freeport Excursion. I also posted some pictures under Carnival Fantasy in the photo gallery. When we were in Nassau, we mainly shopped and took a water ferry over to Atlantis and Cabbage Beach. We wanted to do the Blue Lagoon Excursion but it was not being offered when we tried to sign up at the information desk. Have a great time.

I booked the excursion online at the Carnival website. But, you can book it on the ship as well.

nassau was nice. enjoyed walking bay street and the straw market more than anything.
went to the blue lagoon and was never more disappointed. the sand on the beach is full of rocks and gravels and dont waste your time with the snorkeling. you have to walk over very sharp rocks to get to where you need to be to snorkel. booked the excursion through the ship and it was 39 dollars and in my mind it was a waste. that was the only bad part of the trip though everything else was great.
