Default What a deal!! Cruising gets less expensive.

I was looking at the pictures and things from my first cruise in February 1983. I found an invoice from the travel agent. I bought an "air/sea" package for Festivale. The cost for that 4A cabin with everything included was $1099. No pre cruise overnight. We did not even get an upgrade on that cruise we were assigned cabin R62. For the Glory B cruise when I added what I paid for the air fare and even the pre cruise hotel and transportation from Orlando to Cocoa Beach it was considerably less. I find it amazing that even with inflation 22 years later I am paying considerably less for more. I was upgraded on this cruise from 4A to 4D. Happy Cruising!!

That was for me based on a double occupance rate, my friend paid the same amount. That was a 7 night cruise to Nassau, San Juan and St Thomas.

You are correct that it was much more expensive years ago and that doesn't even take in the cost of living! A dollar back then went much farther back then. Of course you also have to understand that thanks to the power of Cruisemates Groups we 'are' able to get a terrific deal on cruises and this particuliar cruise is one of the best deals to come along in a long time! We are looking forward to not only a very inexpenswive cruise but one that is going to be quite memorable as well! Hope more join us and hurry up as it is less than three months away now!
