Default Valor - safes?

Do the staterooms (we have a balcony room booked) on the Valor have room safes? You know, the kind that some hotel rooms have. If not, what do folks do with their valuables - extra cash and any jewelry you might like to have along?

Thx for your help - this will be our first cruise (not leaving until January 8th, but I love the planning!) - and we're really getting excited!

Yes - the Valor has safes that can be locked and unlocked with a credit card or any type of card with a magnetic strip.

Yes they have safes you open and close them with your sail and sign cards. But if you close it with your card then you roommate will have to use your card to reopen the safe. That was something I learned the hard way.
I am sailing on Valor 9/11/05.

Thanks a LOT!! It's good to know. Thanks, too, for the warning about remembering WHICH S&S card opened it - that would have really freaked me out.

We're not sailing until January '06 - I'll forward to your report at the end of September!

Hi, We used our Public Library Card to open the safe..

That was one card we wouldnt worry about getting lost..

The really important ones were locked in the safe..

DO NOT USE YOUR SAIL AND SIGN CARD!! if you loose it not only does someone have entry to your cabin but your safe also!! you can use any card that has a magnetic strip. we use a Costco card then put it somewhere in the cabin that only the occupants know where to look. That way we all have access to the safe. I am pretty sure all the ships have safe's in them

Yes, just got off Valor. You should definately bring a library card if available. That's a great idea. You will want to lock all your valuable cards in the safe.
