Hello GAgirl; how were the seas(how rough)? Did the motion of the ship cause any problems? ThanksALB.

Hi!
We're also doing the Eastern on 8/6 (this Saturday...can't wait!) I'm seeing so many mixed reviews about the food, smoke, excursions. Also, the weather is supposed to "blow" in the Carribbean all next week. But hey, it's a vacation. What are your best recommendations?

Hi!

My husband and I are both first time cruisers and we are sailing on the Carnival Glory in September. Any info you could give us would be very helpful. I am curious as to the formal nights do the guys wear either a suit or tux ? Feel free to e-mail me at: Lovinatlanta200@yahoo.com

Thanks!!!

Hi. We're going on the Glory on 8/20 and can't wait. Also doing the Eastern itinerary. Is there anything that you can recommend we do or see etc. How is the ship? Going with some newbies so this should be quite interesting.

This was my fifth cruise and I didn't think the Glory was any "rockier" than the other ships I've been on. It was my mother-in-law's first ever cruise and she was terrified that she would be sick. She used the patch and after the first day completely forgot her fears. We had reservations for the Emerald Room but changed our minds. We spent too much on our excursions so we thought we'd better cut back somewhere. Also, we were having too much fun having dinner with our family. The Glory is a beautiful ship. We all (ages 17-70) enjoyed the entertainment. The "adults only comedy show" was very raunchy and definitely not for children. I was very impressed with the caliber of entertainers. The food was good enough. I've seen other postings mention the small portions. Our server always encouraged us to order whatever we wanted - most evenings my 18 year-old-son ordered two appetizers and as many as three entrees. Room service was awful - thank goodness it's free! They usually got our order wrong.
We did the St. John tour with Trunk Bay in St. Thomas and we did the America's Cup racing in St. Maarten. Both were great.
Any other questions?

My guys never wear tuxes - we're just not that formal. There was a group wearing kilts on our sailing. They looked quite spiffy! It really is your personal preference on formal nights. Some people go all out, most people just look nice.

We just returned from our 8/6- 13/2005 cruise on the Glory. My best day was arriving at Port Canaveral and seeing this big beautiful ship docked and waiting for me. The worst day was having to leave, everything in between was absolutely fabulous.
