This is a popular time for families with children as shool is out for the holiday. The prices are usually higher over this time period too.

Actually we sail every year over Thanksgiving. We think it is a great time to cruise. The prices are lower than over the summer. The ships sail full but then they sail full during the summer too. There are alot of families but that is great for our kids. We enjoy getting away over this holiday. Not having to cook dinner is wonderful not to mention getting away from some of those relatives you might rather not be with.We steal my parents so my kids still spend the holiday with their grandparents. If you are looking for a cruise without kids this would not be the week to go but other then that I highly recommend it. Cindy

One of the least crowded times is right after Thanksgiving until just before Christmas. this is also a great time to go if you are looking for trips with fewer children.

We have been with our 3 kids for a week over Thanksgiving and we had a blast! There was a few kids but not tons and it was great to just to not have to cook, visit both families or do dishes. If I could get away every Thanksgiving I would. We invite family to join us but thank God noone ever does! The kids play with their new friends and we relax alot. I love it, everyone should do this and suprise Mom, she will thank you later! Believe me!

there will be a full ship, it won't feel like thanksgiving. I did it last year but won't do it again. however, if you have a family group it is a fun way to spend together.
