Hi!
Just got back from sailing to canada on the triumph. My first cruise, so I can't compare it to other ships. But, I'll give you my thoughts.
There are no swim up bars. In fact, the pools they do have are very tiny and shallow (4 feet or less?) Again, I've never been on a cruise ship before, so perhaps this is the norm or some engineering issue makes this necessary? Lots of kids. I wouldn't say it ruined the vacay in any way, it was just slightly disappointing. We went to Canada, and you'd think there'd be no cause to use a pool but it was really hot at times -- I actually got a great tan! I know the ship goes to the caribbean so I don't know how you would feel about small/shallow/kid-overrun pools on a warm vacay destination.
Otherwise, the ship is very clean, large, very nice. No complaints, really. And even with the pool thing, I really don't think it would have dissuaded me. but like I said, I wasn't planning on a "warm" destination, so I really didn't even think about that when booking. But you may think otherwise if you're going to the caribbean.
What is CD? Cruise director? His name is Matt Ross (is that what you were asking??)
Umm.. can't think of anything else, really! The staff is great -- so friendly and hard working. I'm sure they all are on every ship. And everywhere someone was cleaning and picking up plates, garbage, etc. The food. Oh, the food. Even the bad-for-you-fast-food type hamburgers & pizza -- I'm missing them already! Don't get me started on the lobster, buffets, desserts..! Yum! Ice cream whenever you have the urge? Please....
I hope that helped. Good luck!!
