Default cruise to nowhere

Hi, I am wondering if anyone has taken the Carnival Legend cruise to nowhere? My husband and I are thinking about it for our anniversary in October and I am wondering about the dress code at dinner. The only other cruise we have been on is the Norwegian Dawn and you dressed depending on what restaurant you were dining in. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Your dress code/formal nigfhtsa will depend on the number of nights of your cruise:
http://www.carnival.com/CMS/FAQs/For...ning_Room.aspx

Formal Wear: tuxedo; suit and tie; sport coat, tie and slacks; evening gown; cocktail dress; pantsuit Casual Resort Wear: sport shirts and slacks; dresses; skirts; pantsuit; Capri pants NOTE: Shorts, t-shirts, tank tops and bathing attire are not permitted in the Dining Room during dinner.

You'll want to get dressed up for your anniversary and then have a special picture taken to celebrate. Congratulations.

Thanks! It is just a 2 night cruise out of NY harbor. We do want to get dressed up but did not want to feel or look out of place if the same rules did not apply as a regular length cruise.

I've never taken a cruise to no where, and I'm wondering if the service provided is the same as in any other long/short itinerary. Is the food and entertainment the same ?

We did a CTN out of Baltimore and we had a blast! It was our first cruise, so I really don't have anything to compare it to, but the food was great, the shows were good, and the party was non-stop. We were on the Miracle and it was a huge ship. My biggest complaint was that we didn't "smuggle" enough liquor on board, and the cruise was way too short. We are going on the Fascination in Dec for a 3 day cruise, then the Valor in Nov 06 to the Western Carib exotic.

Go and have a great time!!!!

I love cruises to no where. The second night is the formal night.

Because of your post, I booked the Oct 20th cruise to nowhere. I'm thinking of it as a quick getaway of fun. I'm planning to wear a dress for formal night, but nothing to extravagent. After all for a 2 day cruise I'm getting on board with a small piece of luggage.
