Default 'Holiday' and Mobile

Mmm, just wondering, does anyone know what is going to
happen with future arrivals/departures from Mobile on the
'Holiday' now that half of that city is under water?

If you check the Carnival website, they still have old
information posted - ( as of Monday PM ).

Sure wish we did, we are suppose to sail out of there next Thursday. Hopefully it will be cleaned up by then. I know that yesterday as of noon they had 8 feet of water inside the cruise terminal and no power. Not looking good.

One of the local news websites ( http://www.fox10tv.com) reports this:

Carnival Cruise Line: Schedule change
8/29/2005

Carnival Cruise Lines' Holiday cruise ship which left on a four-day cruise that departed Mobile on Thursday, Aug. 25, and was to end in Mobile on Aug. 29, will instead end in Tampa on Aug. 30. The ship will arrive in Tampa at approximately 7:30 a.m. and remain docked until Aug. 31 at noon. Guests will have the choice of disembarking the vessel either on Aug. 30 between 8:30 a.m. and noon, or Aug. 31 between 8 a.m. and noon. Carnival will provide complimentary motorcoach transportation to the Tampa airport on these days.

For guests who purchased air transportation from Carnival, the company’s air/sea department will assist guests in changing their flights to depart from Tampa.

Carnival has cancelled the Aug. 29 voyage of the Holiday from Mobile. Guests scheduled to sail on the Aug. 29 cruise will receive a full refund.

we have 4 couples going. 2 in our late 20's and 2 in thier early 50's. We are coming from Missouri but we will find a way in. We are told that our biggest worry will be finding gas when we get that far south.
