Default The Gulf of Mexico

Finally, the water in the Gulf of Mexico has settled down, which causes Tampa Bay to calm down. The pictures from our new stations web cam showed calm water around the beaches. Hopefully, the cruise ships will come home soon.

People in our area are waiting for the oil tankers to come into the Bay with fuel. We are being told by the news media to expect rolling black outs. The news media is reporting damage done to 10 oil rigs in the Gulf of Mexico. Florida was lucky in regards to this hurricane, but not the aftermath. Does anyone know how many oil rigs are in the Gulf of Mexico?
