My Family and I are going on the Victory Oct.9 and we are so looking foward to it I don't think anything would make it a horrible cruise unless it sank..

We sailed on the Victory this past June (26th) and had a great time. The food and service were very good. There were kids on this cruise, but that was to be expected in the summer months, but we didn't have problems with them running wild.

Sure there were lines at peak times for the Lido buffet, but if you went earlier or later that was not much of a problem. You can also eat breakfast and/or lunch in the dining room to avoid lines.

We wouldn't hesitate to sail on her again, and would have booked her for June 2006 but she is doing shorter cruises during that time frame.

Go with an open mind and you'll most likely have a great time!

John

At one time you could find a link that gave you different pics to put in your sig here at cruisemates ... I am afraid I do not know what that link is anymore ...

Default Victory

I have been on Carnival Cruise Lines several times and have never been disappointed. Even during a hurricane! There is lots to do and plenty of places to relax if that's what you prefer. You will have a great time.

Default bad cruises

I'm sorry to hear some of you had bad cruises. My first cruise was last year, triumph and on sun- 9/18/05 I leave on the victory for the eastern carb.
Before I leave home for any vacation I have a talk with myself, . How do I want this vacation to go? Sometimes things are beyond my control and do go bad. But I decide I won't get mad if someone cuts in line ( in a buffet line or a ride at disneyland) Because by getting mad...I'm giving them my time. And hey i'm on vacation, and if I wanted to get mad at everything little thing other people do wrong I might as well stay home, Because no matter where you go, there's NO perfect vacation. But carnival does have a guarentee...if the cruise is so bad, you wanna leave they drop you off at the next port and buy you a ticket home and refund your $. I've never heard of anyone taking them up on that yet.
I try and be thankful I can afford a vacation, so I usually truly have a great time. Most people do. Last year we got stuck in hurricane ivan....we had to stay on the ship 2 extra days- not much of a punishment- more of a treat.
I hope everyones cruises go well- don't let others get to you....you put 3000 people on a ship and there will be a few rude folks. NO worries though

Melissa

Hi Jody,
I have been on 7 cruises, all but 1 on Carnival. We had a simular experience on the Triumph......very rude people, but I still love cruising, and after 1 cruise with NCL, we went back to Carnival.
