Don't stay at the Ramada Inn. This coming January we will be staying at the Bestern Western Suites & Inn near the airport.

My wife and I will be sailing out of Miami January 8, on the Valor. I too would like hotel info.

Prankster, thanks for the info. Could you tell me what happened at the Ramada and why you now chose the Best Western?

Larry

When we cruised out of Miami last Nov, we stayed the night before at The Regency Airport Hotel. Haivng flown transatlantic from the UK, we wanted everything sorted for us.

Their coourtesy shuttle bus picked us up from Miami Int. Airport and took us the Hotel and the next day, they also ran a courtesy shuttle bus down to the docks. so, we found it an excellent way.

the Hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. We walked and found a nice diner across the road for breakfast and overall the stay was a good way to start out holiday.

We would use this hotel again if we cruise out of Miami again.

Hope this helps.

Regards,
KG

We're going on the Valor 1/8/06 also (glad to here oher people are going) and are staying at the Marriott Courtyard Downtown the night before. Have heard that its clean, and within walking distance of Bayside Marina.

Larry, the Ramada Inn was just not a very clean hotel. The light in the bathroom did not work (even after they fixed it for me). Someone left magazines (you know the kind) in the safe. Good thing I was able to throw them out before my kids spotted them. I could go on and on about this hotel. The only nice thing was the free shuttle to the port.

We are leaving for our cruise on Sept. 11 and are staying at the Hyatt downtown (close to the pier) on Sept. 9 and 10. I got the hotel for $45.00 per night on priceline.

I always stay at the Holiday Inn Port of Miami. It is right across from Bayside Marketplace where there are lots of restaurants and shops. But if you can get the Hyatt downtown for $45 like the previous poster, go for it.

Hello all.....DH and myself will be on the triumph Nov.26th out of miami. Wondering when bidding with priceline what areas to lock in on? Is downtown the best bet to hopefully have view of the pier. I see they ask for a couple areas but do most just put down the one option of "downtown miami". Thanks for any tips.

I stayed at the Marriott near Bayside, it was nice! I will be on the Fascination 9/19 also.
