Default Rooms below galley

We are going to be on the Conquest, 10/16, Main Deck room 2410 right below the galley. Does anyone have any experience with these rooms? Should we be prepared for noise? Thanks, I know I can not change anything but like a good scout like to be prepared.

We booked a room years ago on Carnival's Imagination on the Empress Deck aft near the galley and it was so noisy at all hours of the day and night we couldn't sleep...that was the first and last time we booked a room anywhere near the galley.

On the Horizon several years ago we had a room directly under the galley and I can say it was a nightmare with all the rolling, dragging, dropping, etc that went on all night. That was years ago and the last time I booked a guarantee cabin. Since then, I book exactly where I want to be and you can bet it is never near the galley.
Wish I had better news for you but--- sorry.

Hi Ro,

From the Carnival brochure it appears that the cabins below the galley are on Empress deck from about E118 through E179.

Hope you are somewhere else!

Ro, If you look at the deck plans on Carnival's web site, look mid-ship/aft and you will see a big blank, empty square in the middle of the decks, this is the galley. On the Imagination, the galley is shown on the Atlantic Deck, but, we were on the Empress Deck and heard the noise all day (if you go back to your room for a nap) and night, they have these huge automatic dishwashers that seem to run 24/7. If you are anywhere near the galley...next to it, underneath it, over it, you will hear noise, vibration, and banging and clanging.

I'm sure you'll have a great night's sleep. Carnival builds its ships so noise never reaches cabins from public or private areas above.
