Default Questions about Victory!

Hi all I have some questions hoping I can get some answers I am going on the Victory, and I have been on different websites that have pics and info about it, and I saw that on a couple of decks like the Lobby deck and Atlantic deck there are the pacific and atlantic dining rooms ON BOTH FLOORS! Are they the same resturants that take up both floors? Or different ones with the same name? Also on the Lido desck, is that where the buffets are? One more questions ...I see a pool on the Panorama deck, is there one on the lido deck?
Thanks all to reply..if any of you have been on the Victory I would appreciate it..I am trying to get used to it or somewhat familiar before I go. Bye 4 now~ Joannfla p.s. ONE MOREEEE question..is there only one casino on board? thanks

There is a small pool on the Panorama Deck and the main pool is at the center of the lido deck. The aft pool is also on the lido deck. There is only one Seven Seas bar which is located next to one of the dining rooms. There are two dining rooms with upper and lower seating on the lobby and atlantic deck.
If Kevin is playing in the Irish Sea Bar do not miss out on his show.
If you like the hottubs, go to the ones in the gym area because they are hardly ever used.

Joann-
i would suggest that you go to any travel office
and pick-up a hard-copy brochure on carnival
sailings...there are several. they have deck plans
and photos and lots of info. on the type of questions
you are asking!

Default Victory

JoannFla, The Seven Seas your seeing on different decks, is the Atrium . There is one Seven seas bar, but what your seeing is the Atrium, and the set of elevators that are there. It does extend up several decks !
Go to Carnival.com . funships, click on Victory, and take the tour. Scroll down and you'll see it. Seven Seas Atrium.

Ask all you want, if I can help you , I will . Since this is your first cruise coming up, your about to be spoiled and surprised If you like the cruising atmosphere, you'll be hooked for life !

happy cruising;

Default JoannFla,

opps, sorry forgot to answer a couple of your questions .
1)Yes, its only one casino on the ship.
2)Yes there is 2- seperate dining rooms onboard. And they do cover 2 decks each. Like a 2-story dining room. ( upstairs and/or down stairs)
When you go there, the maitre'd or a waiter, will show you your table.
No worry's there mate !
3) Pool deck is aft, (rear of the ship ) On the Conquest, the buffet dining room, is just inside the doors on the pool deck (aft ) Most of these ships are laid out pretty close. Just some are larger than others.

Relax and enjoy your cruise;

Default Victory

You can order the brochure from Carnival which will take about three days to get. And if you dig deep on the website you can find most of the information. I have done both and the brochure to me was best;-)

We were on Victory in July. Yes, there are two dining rooms, one forward one aft. Both of them take up several levels and this is why on some of the floors you can't walk all the way from the front to the back of the ship. You learn real quick how to negotiated around those floors. It used to be that if your cabin was forward on the ship, you got the forward dining room. The last two ships we've been on, we were forward and got aft dining room......This was fine because we got the seating time we wanted AND it made you explore the ship more. We were in the aft dining room on the second level. It was absolutely wonderful. We were in a booth for 4 next to the glass wall that overlooked the bottom floor. Right outside this dining room is a bar that allows smoking but the best jazz trio in there......the three Mikes we called them. Also in this bar area off in a corridor was the internet cafe. Made it real easy to leave dinner and go check email while the whole family was together. The 7 seas Bar is beautiful. Starts on level 3, lobby level, atrium goes up from there. One casino on Promonade Deck, decorated in Chinese motif. Plenty big though.

Also, on Lido, there is a deli, a chinese wok type place, the buffet and outside the aft end of the buffet is a pool and another bar. The hamburgers and pizza are out near the pool making it easy to lay out, swim and eat. These chairs went fast and that was where we usually saw more little children..............

Sorry, I keep thinking of stuff. When you go up to Lido for the buffet, out by the pool area, they will set up a breakfast buffet and there are some outside tables and chairs. This line usually moved faster in the mornings. Had basic fare, bacon, eggs, sausage, grits, oatmeal, cereal, but they made omlettes there too. It just seemed to go faster than main buffet line. At lunch same thing, they sometimes offered some of the same fare as big buffet, but sometimes, burgers and hot dogs only........quickie lunch.

The Victory is a great ship! We sailed on it for our first cruise Jan 04 and had a great time. The serve a buffet on the lido deck think it was the mederteratian resaurant(correct me if I am wrong) as well as a buffet by the larger pool with waterslide. As for the two resaurants you will be assigned which one you will attend whenyou arrive. There is a chineeze food area just off the buffet on one side and the other side has sandwiches. There are burgers french fries and pizza. Trust me the food options seem to go on forever! There are many bars to choose from just to sit and relax, one casino. The shows were great, the cruise director is goofy! We laughed with many tears too lol!! You will have a great time on this ship!

Breakfast on deck by the water is the bomb!! Did the sit down breakfast at the main dining room once on our first cruise just to see how it was. It seemed like the same food as on the buffet just served to you. We like the view and ocean breeze out on deck for breakfast. You gonna love your cruise.

Victory was my first cruise, and we loved it! I don't know that I have much to add to what others have said...it looks like your questions got answered. Oh! Don't miss the dance lessons on sea days...we learned the Austin Powers dance, and it was -hilarious-. 50 sunburned people trying to dance on a stage that was moving (however imperceptibly...) is a sight you absolutely must see.
