Default FLL 11:15 Flight?

Would a flight departing FLL at 11:15 be too early for a cruise arriving into FLL? Also how does early disembarking work?

Just in case you are wondering why I am asking this question. Delta has changed a ton of their flight times (probalby due to filing bankruptcy) and cancelled some flights. Of my 4 flights with them for this cruise 3 were changed or cancelled.

If you are flying Delta I would go to www.delta.com and check out your itenerary because they had us with a layover of -33 minutes (ie we were arriving 33 minutes after our connecting flight departed).

Although you flight is theoretically "doable", I'd be much more comfortable with a flight leaving at 12:30pm...or later. See what Delta will do to help. If you get no assistance, see the purser late in the week and show your airline tickets [a note will be in your Capers as to exactly when]. They will assist you in getting off the ship ASAP.

Basically, self-debark occurs in a "window" not long after you arrive to FLL. Instead of leaving your bags out the night beforehand, you carry them out yourself. You will probably have to take them up/down stairs.

Provided your ship makes it into port on time and clears customs ok - you should be able to make it if you self dis-embark. We did this our last cruise and found we were off the ship in no time. The airport is only a short taxi ride away. There were no stairs, but there was a long steep ramp and escalaters.
