nightlife questions

what can i expect the nightlife on board to be like? will the clubs be packed and energetic or will they pretty much shut down when it gets late?do hot tubs and pools stay open late? what else is there to do in the wee hours?

It depends on the ship. I have found on Carival Triumph and Pride, the piano bar is usually packed at night, and the disco is full and continues until 3am or so.

Hot tubs and pools do not stay open late--I cannot remember the precise hours though. In fact, the pools are drained and refilled with seawater every night, and the hot tubs are run with extra chlorination and can't be used.

Pizza is there 24 hours. I'm told that one Lido deck bar stays open for bottled beer 24 hours.

On the Conquest, the piano bar and karaoke lounge was popular from about 9pm on. We didn't go into the disco, but noticed that it didn't get busy until late (midnight or so).

As stated by another poster, the pools and hot tubs close at night, not sure what time. I think the hot tubs are open later than the pool......when we sailed the hot tubs were closed for the whole cruise.

Pools/most hot tubs close between 8-10pm. One hot tub usually stays open 'til midnight

I agree with the previous posts the bars/clubs get busier later . You will have plenty to do in the Wee hours and there will lots of people out enjoying the nightlife :D

Also depends on itinerary/length of cruise. Shorter cruises tend to be more energetic. Over 8+ day cruise tend to be more low key. The night club, bars don't get started till 10ish. Also, head to the back bar. Usally located near the lido buffet area. Most sailings open till 4am. Can get lively.
