Bankrupt

Hi
Just a heads up folks. As of midnight last night Trans Merridan Airlines went chapter 7. There was little or no warning of this. They closed their doors supposedly forever. We have tickets on TMA for next April to Orlando to get get to our cruise on the Mariner Of The Seas. We are hoping that we can get a refund if at all possible. Now to start looking for airfare again!

I don't know where you are located, but I can tell you I got a killer deal from Indy to Orlando for about $123 round trip on Southwest Airlines. If they service an area near you, you might check them out. Plus I think they are pretty sound financially. Hope that helps. Sorry you have to deal with this!

If you paid for your tickets on a cc and were billed within the last 60 or 90 days you can dispute the charge.

I think it was on our bill in July. We have called the card company to dispute the charge. I really hope that we get our refund. Especially on top of having to look into buying more airline tickets. Double whammy!

If u dispute the charge who pays? Not the airline since they are bankrupt. I guess the cc company, but that doesnt seem fair even if it is how it works.

I just watched the Nightly News, they talked about Trans Meridian Airlines, saying it will be hard if not impossible to get your money back, if at all. That stinks...I wish you all the best if you booked a flight through them.
