Default Cruise Travel Insurance

Can I have some input on travel insurance?
What about booking from an independent agency instead of Carnival?
Any good names to suggest?
thanks for any suggestions.........

Try insure my trip dot com. They will give you lots of companies to choose from. Its a lot less expensive than buying from the cruise line.

Good idea to book insurance independent of any cruiseline. We always use CSA and they paid with no problems last year. But do check out the many companies and compare coverages at insuremytrip.com.

I second the opinion on www.insuremytrip.com

I happen to like Travelex Travel Lite policy. We just returned from the Caribbean Princess, and I had to visit the ship's doctor and also had a situation where a necklace was stolen from my suitcase (not on the ship). When I called Travelex to find out if my visit to the doctor was covered (it is), I happened to mention the necklace. She said that would be covered as well. She sent me two separate claim forms, which I received within 2 days of speaking to her. So far I've been very happy with their customer service. And the other nice thing is it is very reasonably priced ($47 pp for my husband and myself). Also, they are primary insurers, meaning I don't have to submit my doctor's visit bill to my own medical insurance first and wait for them to pay or deny.
