What do you guys think about these excursions? Worth the mon

Hi all,

64 days to Destiny!!!!!!!!! The hubby, friends and I are planning to book our excursions this week. Have any of you guys done the following excursions thru the cruiseship:

St. Thomas :
Skyride to Paradise point
Best of St. Thomas Tour or St.John Island tour (haven't quite decided which one yet)

Dominica:
Nothing looked appealing

Barbados:
Barbados Coast to Coast

Aruba:
Town and Country Tour


Any other suggestions???

If this is the first time make sure you take a tour of the islands. Domnica is really beautiful so make sure you take a tour there. The skyride just takes you up the mountian overlooking the port. It's okay but we never thought it worth the price.

in st. thomas you might be able to get an island tour cheaper
right off the boat on the pier.
in barbados I would recommend the tram ride tour through the
rain forest but plan on getting a little damp (wet)
in aruba the town and country tour is outstanding in so much
that my wife did it twice in 3 years really covers the whole
island and is great if you've never been there before.
also don't try and do every tour that offered as when you get
home it will feel like you need anyother vacation.

St. Thomas - you can do it better and usually cheaper on your own.
Pardise Point Tramway is withing walking distance from the ship. You can hire a cab for a couple of hours tour the island then hit the beach. If you don't want to go it alone, i would suggest looking into Godfrey Tours - they do a really good job.
St. John is beautiful- gorgeous beaches with great snorkeling. Do it on your own. You have to get over there by water taxi. Check out the islands web site at www.vinow.com for lots of usefull information

My wife and I just got back from the Destiny and strangly recommend the following eacursions:

Dominica--take the rainforest tram ride which is very different from the skyride you can see from the ship. The drive there is something to experience as the roads are NARROW--TWISTING--AND STEEP. It was an adventure in itself. The tram ride is about an hour long and you go from the floor of the rainforest to at least 300 feet in the air.It's 30 minutes out and 30 minutes back and as your guide points out the area you really experience somehting unique.

Barbados--5 star tiami Catamaran sail--- snorkeled two reefs and got a great lunch served to us on board. all drinks were free and had fruit and breads served to us by people who really made us feel welcomed. Not your typical crowded kind of excursion.

Aruba-- beach sail away with Pelican---another catamaran snorkel trip which included stops to snorkel over a sunken WW II freighter as well as a swim with the turtles. This trip also included a meal at a beach restaurant as well as some time to wander along Palm Beach.

In St. thomas we took a land tour sheich included a stop to snorkel at a beach of our choice. We booked this over the internet with sunny Liston tours but somehow were traded off to and went with Godfrey tours. It was a great our and relatively inexpensive.

We've always traveled in the Western Caribbean [4 cruises] but these four excursions were the best we've ever been on and we've decided to go back there next year and enjoy these islands again.
